GP hub appointments: Karis Medical Centre is also part of the myhealthcare federation of practices in Birmingham. This allows our Patient Care Coordinators at reception to book evening and weekend, GP and nurse appointments at our local hub.

When We Are Closed

Patients needing medical services outside surgery hours are covered by the Birmingham wide services for Out of Hours care.

Please ring 111 or the usual surgery number and you will be connected to the Out of Hours Service.  

The NHS111 advice line is available to any patient 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need to:

– Treat yourself at home

– Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.

Urgent Treatment Centre’s can now only be accessed via an appointment system, booked by NHS111. Patients can no longer access a ‘walk-in’ service, without an appointment. All patients need to call 111 or visit online at https://111.nhs.uk
